- ComiXology comes included with Amazon Prime — just like Prime Video and Amazon Music Unlimited — for the same $12.99 a month.
- A ComiXology account made through Amazon Prime gives you access to ComiXology Originals — comics, books, and manga exclusive to paying customers.
- Remember, however, that a ComiXology account made with Amazon Prime isn’t the same as ComiXology Unlimited — if you want an Unlimited account, you can subscribe for an extra $5.99 per month.

ComiXology is a subscription service that offers hundreds of free graphic novels, comics, manga, and more. And if you’re willing to pay an extra fee, you’ll gain access to tens of thousands more.
ComiXology’s library includes major publishers like Lion Forge, Dark Horse, Oni Press, Dynamite, and Valiant, as well as indie creators and cartoonists. The digital platform also gives users the ability to read digital comics on their desktop and mobile devices, with offline reading offered through the app.
Every Amazon Prime subscription includes a limited ComiXology subscription. With this subscription, you get all the free comics, as well as full access to a special section called “ComiXology Originals.”
Here’s everything you need to know about using ComiXology with an Amazon Prime membership.
Amazon Prime includes ComiXology but not Unlimited
If you’re already subscribed to Amazon Prime, you have a ComiXology account. It functions like the free tier, except for one big perk – ComiXology Originals. While ComiXology’s curated line of premium comics isn’t available to free account holders, the platform’s original graphic novels and books are available to all Amazon Prime members.
ComiXology Originals are also included with the Unlimited subscription. So if you're more interested in just reading comics and less interested in two-day shipping, paying the price for a ComiXology Unlimited subscription may be a better option than getting your Originals through Amazon Prime.
With ComiXology Unlimited, you have access to the 20,000 titles you can read for free, with tens of thousands more available at a discounted price from a host of mainstream and indie publishers. Offline reading is available on every device, you can combine discounts to get comics even cheaper, and every month the service adds new titles exclusively for Unlimited members that you can read for free.
The only downside is that it costs $5.99 per month, instead of being included with a Prime subscription.
